Bike accident. Our client v. other driverConfidential settlement. Our client was riding a bycycle northbound on Danville Boulevard near the Alamo/Walnut Creek border in Contra Costa County. Our client was riding in the bicycle lane and was wearing a helmet. He had the right of way going straight on Danville Boulevard. Suddenly an oncoming southbound car gunned a left turn in his path to reach the southbound Highway 680 onramp. The cyclist collided with the front of the car and was thrown onto the hood and into the windshield with considerable force. He broke the windshield and then rolled off the top of the car onto the pavement suffering serious injuries. This case was settled prior to trial after a number of depositions. |
