People lose their lives in auto accidents for a multitude of reasons. Sometimes, fatal car crashes happen because of an intoxicated driver or treacherous road conditions. Often, these accidents occur because of someone’s reckless behavior, such as driving in the wrong direction, ignoring traffic laws, speeding and other types of negligent driving. For auto accident victims who were involved in a crash in San Francisco, or another city in California, remaining committed to recovery is paramount.

Law enforcement officials say that those who witnessed an auto accident saw an SUV reach excessive speeds before slamming into another vehicle at roughly 8:2 a.m., making the other vehicle flip over. The driver responsible for the crash, which happened in Folsom, California, was reportedly traveling as fast as 80 to 100 miles per hour in the wrong direction.

After slamming into another vehicle head-on, the driver who was heading towards oncoming traffic, a 41-year-old man, passed away. The 21-year-old woman who he struck also lost her life in the accident. A third vehicle was also involved in the crash, and the victim who was driving in that vehicle sustained minor injuries and was taken to a medical center.

Depending on the details surrounding a motor vehicle accident, various resources may be available to help victims and their loved ones. Whether a family is mourning and suffering because their family member died or a victim is unable to work after a wreck, these collisions can upend lives in many ways. For some victims, reaching out to a legal professional may help.
