9 Suffer Serious Injuries In 2 Separate Wrecks

by | Jul 10, 2020 | Firm News

California police say that reckless, speeding drivers were responsible for two recent accidents. Both accidents were apparently single vehicle wrecks, and all those injured were either the drivers or passengers. For the passengers suffering from serious injuries, this means weeks, months or even years of recovery.

The first wreck happened at approximately 12 p.m. on June 20, 2020, when a speeding driver was traveling on the westbound side of I-80. For reasons that are not entirely clear, the vehicle crashed. No other vehicles were involved, and the driver and all four of his or her passengers were injured and transported to an area hospital.

The second accident came a short while later, only a little after midnight the following day. In this wreck, the speeding driver was traveling on the wrong side of the road near I-80. This was also a single vehicle accident. The driver was injured in this accident as well, including all three passengers. The California Highway Patrol is investigating both crashes.

Most people associate serious injuries with being hit by another driver, but this is not always the case. Passengers are often at the mercy of their drivers, and there is not much they can do about reckless behavior like speeding. In this type of situation, a victim might want to consider whether he or she should move forward with a personal injury claim. Successfully settling such a claim can be key to securing compensation for medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering.
