Nothing is more important than recovery and compensation for your loved one after a severe injury.

Have You Suffered A Sports Brain Injury?

Research has shown that even minor injuries such as mild concussions during football tackles can cause permanent damage. Yet, even though the damage is real, many people dismiss concerns with a claim that the athlete “signed up for it” and “understood the dangers.”

That language has discouraged people from bringing vital personal injury lawsuits that could help pay medical bills, rehabilitation costs and other expenses resulting from injuries. For more than 30 years, has advocated for fair and just compensation for injured clients in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout California.

Our attorneys have helped thousands of clients and their family members through the difficult days that follow a traumatic brain injury. We will work closely with you to ensure a thorough and accurate diagnosis and that continuing medical care and nursing needs are met.

You Can Recover Compensation Following A Sports Brain Injury

Even if you signed a waiver accepting liability for injuries caused by a sport, you may be able to recover compensation if that waiver was unfair or actions were reckless/grossly negligent. It may also be possible to hold a third party liable for an injury (e.g., another golfer who hits you on the head with a golf club after a dispute).

Be On Guard For These Symptoms

A concussion is a traumatic brain injury (TBI) caused by an impact or jolt to the head or body. This trauma temporarily interferes with how the brain works and can cause bruising or bleeding of the brain.

Symptoms may include one or more of the following:

  • Headache, dizziness or decreased coordination
  • Fatigue, memory loss or impaired concentration
  • Nausea, sensitivity to light or noise, sleep problems or slurred speech
  • Agitation, confusion or changes in personality

Many concussions go undiagnosed. If you suspect that you or a loved one such as a child involved in school athletics has suffered a concussion, you should seek medical attention. A doctor should perform physical and neurological examinations. Tests may include an MRI, a CT scan of the head and an EEG.

Our personal injury lawyers go the extra mile to ensure that our brain-injured clients receive full and fair compensation. If a case goes to trial, we make sure the jury truly understands the injuries and the challenges moving forward.

Did You Sign A Waiver? Get Legal Advice.

A waiver of liability does not necessarily mean you cannot receive compensation for life-altering brain injuries. Depending upon the facts of your case, you may have more options than you know. Call or send us an email for a free consultation with an attorney.

Vehicle Accidents

There are two things to establish in any motor vehicle accident case: the cause of the accident (fault) and the full cost of the injuries and losses. As we prepare your case, we will investigate both of these.

Abuse & Molestation

Priests, ministers, church officials and workers, coaches, teachers, day care workers, park rangers, and other trusted adults who sexually molest children, ruin lives and cause irreparable psychological damage.

& Serious Injuries

People suffering from a brain injury, spinal cord injury or other severe injury will require extensive medical treatment, rehabilitative therapy and other long-term care.

Claims related to sports and recreation injuries can be complicated. These cases often include issues involving waivers and the “assumption of risk” defense.

& Spine Injuries

When you or a loved one suffers a traumatic brain injury (TBI), life changes dramatically. Even mild TBIs can lead to years of recovery and rehabilitation.
